Golf champs named

After shooting a 73 on the first day, Tom Hart went on to score four over par in the second day of competition to win the men's championship flight title at the 2009 Desert Canyon Golf Course Club Championship held Aug. 22 and 23.

Bob Ebbs improved on day two of the tournament with a three over par to finish the weekend with a 150 to claim the senior championship flight honor.

In ladies competition, Mary Griffin went seven under par on Aug. 22 and improved to nine under the following day with a 124 tally to walk away with the ladies championship flight first net honor. Bonnie Harper also improved during Sunday's round with a 78 while finishing the weekend with a 163 to win the ladies championship flight first gross category.

Hart, Ebbs and Harper go on to represent the golf course and Mountain Home during the 2009 Tournament of Champions in Sun Valley from Sept. 26 to 27.
