Gordy Westerwelle

Gordon "Gordy" R. Westerwelle, 46 ,of Mountain Home, passed away on July 31, 2009.

Catholic services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Gordy was born Dec. 9, 1962, in East Chicago, Ill., to Stuart Gordon and Donna Jean Westerwelle.

He attended and graduated school in Crown Point, Ind., where he met Beth. They began dating after she picked him up hitchhiking to work and they married on March 20, 1982. They enjoyed marriage for 27 years.

Beth joined the US Air Force early in their relationship and was stationed in Japan, where Gordy and his family enjoyed scuba diving and many other outdoor activities.

He and his family moved to Mountain Home in 2001, where he continued to enjoy family activities and camping in the hills. At the time of his passing Gordy was working as a route salesman for V-1 Propane. Gordy will be missed by his family and friends.

Gordy is survived by his wife Beth, his daughter Megan and her husband Chris Gaff of Elko, his son Sean of Sacramento, his granddaughter Faith Young and his four sisters, Donna, Susan, Mary and Anne.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
