Juanita Monaghan
Juanita Clare Monaghan, 76, of Mountain Home, passed away after a long illness on June 17, 2009, at a local care center.
A memorial service was held on Monday, June 22, 2009, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Inurnment followed at Riverside Cemetery in Grand View. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Juanita was born in Ethete, Wyo., on Jan. 4, 1933. Her father followed construction, which resulted in her attending various schools. She graduated from Grand View High School, where she met John Monaghan, whom she married in Elko, Nev., in 1951.
They settled in Grand View and together had five children.
She was also a member of the Rebekahs. She loved gardening, sewing and hand crafts. She worked in the food service for many years.
After selling the farm she settled in Mountain Home until her death. Juanita is survived by her son Pete Monaghan of Emmett, her son Charles Monaghan of Mountain Home, her daughter Clorice Terrell of Boise, her daughter Livinia Monaghan of Boise, her sister Anna Marie DeLauder of Salem, Oregon, and seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband John, her son John, her brother Gordon and both her parents.
