Ralph J. Miller
In loving memory of our father and husband, Ralph (Fuzzy) J. Miller. Dad was born on October 21, 1917, and passed away on June 11, 2009, in Mountain Home.
He was married to Ruth for 66 years and they had two children, Ralph (Joe) Miller of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Debbie Chandler of Mountain Home. He spent most of his life in Fort Wayne, until the later years when he moved to Idaho with his daughter and son-in-law, Daniel.
Dad was a quite a man all the way up until the end. He was very proud of his 26 years as a member of the Fort Wayne Firefighters and he served his country proudly during WWII, as a member of the 38th Infantry Division.
He was a big fan of Notre Dame Football and loved watching it with everyone! He enjoyed traveling in their motor home, fly fishing, and even simple
things such as his evening bowl of ice cream.
He would have gone to the ends of the earth to visit his grandchildren whereever they were.
Dad had a love for his pets and not only called them all "Charlie" but thought of Charlie his cat, until the very end.
He loved playing with his great-grandchildren and we will always remember his little "Boop, boop, boop" sound that he made with them! Sunday drives will never be the same without him.
Dad went down his favorite road, the Prairie Road, for the last time on June 15, in a private ceremony with his family.
Dad is survived by his wife Ruth, his son Ralph Miller, his daughter Deborah and her husband Dan Chandler, four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many, many dear friends of which meant so very much to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Minnie Miller, his brother Frank, and sisters Madonna, Lavonne and Waunetah, all of Fort Wayne, and his first great-grandchild, little Jacob of Mountain Home.
To our dad, husband and grandpa, we miss you dearly and we will never forget you.
