Minor fire reported at El-Ada
Wednesday, June 3, 2009
Early Wednesday morning, units from the Mountain Home Fire Department responded to El-Ada Food Bank for an electrical fire.
Reportedly, the fire resulted from a melted wire at one of the bank's freezers. When one of El-Ada's employees attempted to move the freezer out for cleaning, she noticed the melted wire. Later, the wire started to spark, causing the fire to ignite.
The freezer was immediately taken out of the facility by the MHFD. There was no further reported damage to the building.
