Christopher Martin Poe
Christopher Martin Poe, 46, of Boise, passed away on May 15, 2009 at his home. A graveside inurnment will be held on Friday, May 29, 2009, at 3:00pm, at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mtn Home.
Chris was born on November 3, 1962, to Jimmy W. and Delores A. Poe at Tachikawa AFB, Tokyo Japan. He was the middle child of five children. Being a "military brat" he traveled and lived in various states and countries.
Chris graduated in 1980, from Orono High School in Long Lake, Minnesota. From 1981-1983, Chris attended Bemidji State University in Northern Minnesota. In 1990, he moved to Boise. He had various jobs throughout his life. He worked as a bartender, a restaurant chef, a technician, a cooked in the forest service for firefighters last summer and last winter a cook for the Salvation Army.
Chris loved the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing and playing with his dogs.
Chris is survived by his mother Delores Ann Poe of Mtn Home, his sister Catherine Ann and her husband Richard Voellinger of North Bend, Oregon, his brothers James Michael and his wife Laurie Poe and Marc Allen and his wife Amy Poe both of Boise, his sister Cassandra Lynn and her husband Jack Madden of Kuna and various aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Jimmy W. Poe on March 5, 2009.
