Mary Knutson

Mary Knutson (Buchholtz), 72, suddenly passed away March 21, 2009. in Rapid City, S.D., while visiting family.

Memorial services will be held May 10, 2009, at the American Legion Hall at 2 p.m.

Mary was born May 10, 1936, in Elkton, S.D., Mary was one of four children born to George and Claire Buchholts.

Mary married the love of her life, Ronald Knutson, in 1957. They had three daughters Rae Deane, Debra, and Rhonda They were married until 1983.

They were a military family and moved often. They moved to Mountain Home in 1977, and retired here in Mountain Home.

Mary was a bartender at the Elks Club for many years.

She was a member of the American Legion in Mountain Home.

She thoroughly enjoyed her family and always put them first. She will be forever loved and missed.

Mary was survived by the following: her daughters, Rae Deane Brooks and her husband Kevin Brooks of Nevada, Mo., and her children Wanda, JR and Debbie. Debra Jourdan and her husband James Jourdan of Mountain Home and their family James Andersen and James Jourdan and Jessica Jourdan, and Rhonda Cone and her husband Rod Cone of Seattle, Wash. Her sister Nancy Ericksen and her husband Paul Ericksen of Rapid City, S.D., and their son Randy and daughter-in-Law Paulette. Her brother William (Billie) Buchholtz of Spearfish, S.D., and multiple great grand kids.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father Claire and George Bucbholtz and her brother George and his wife Sharron Buchholtz and her grandson John Michael Schubert.
