Soph girls lose two
The Mountain Home Lady Tigers sophomore girls basketball team dropped conference games to Emmett and Middleton last week.

Mountain Home had trouble getting going in the first and third quarters at Emmett last Thursday night, as the Lady Huskies outscored them 17-7 in those two quarters. The result was a 26-19 conference loss.
Mountain Home trailed 9-5 after a quarter and 13-9 at the half. They fell behind 21-11 after three quarters. A fourth quarter rally fell short, as they lost 26-19.
Courtney Christiansen led Mountain Home's scoring with eight points, Jasmyne Moore added five, Carolyn Bailey four and Kelsey Egusquiza two.
Middleton 42

The Lady Tigers showed marked improvement against Middleton when the two teams met Saturday afternoon in Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium. The Lady Tigers had lost to Middleton 32-10 back on Dec. 4 at Middleton, but this time battled them tougher, losing 42-28.
Mountain Home led on three occasions in the first quarter, before falling behind 9-7 after a quarter.
Middleton jumped out to an 11-point lead in the second quarter and was up 21-13 at the half, and stretched their lead to 33-18 after three.
The closest that Mountain Home got in the final quarter was at the end, when Kelly Robins hit a three to make it a 42-28 final.
Jasmyne Moore led the Mountain Home scoring with eight points, Ja-Dene Palmer scored six, Kelly Robins five, and Carolyn Bailey, Jaclyn Lasuen and Courtney Christiansen each added three points.
