Thomas Fain
Thomas "Tommy" Eugene Fain, 20, lost his battle to esophageal cancer on Dec. 26, 2008. He was diagnosed on Dec. 26, 2007, and fought for one year to the day of his diagnosis.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 31, at 11 a.m. at the VFW Hall in Glenns Ferry.
Tommy was born to Gene and Donna Fain on April 19, 1988, in Mountain Home. He attended Glenns Ferry Schools, worked various jobs around the community and lived a short period of time in Nevada.
Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities with family and friends. Some of Tommy's dreams were to become a chef, a landscaper, and a father. Tom's greatest fulfillment was being a dad.
"Tom was a generous and loving individual with strong beliefs. He was always willing to help someone in need," his family said.
Tommy is survived by: his sons, Thomas Michael Fain of Nevada and Miles James Fain of Glenns Ferry; his parents, Donna and Gene Fain of Glenns Ferry; his brother, Jeremy Fain, and partner Annette, from Glenns Ferry; his sister, Cassi and her husband, Dennis Hollenbeck, of Glenns Ferry; his brother, Nicholas Ira, of Alaska; soul mate Shyla Campbell of Glenns Ferry; maternal grandparents Edward and Claudette Titus of Glenns Ferry; paternal grandparents Ken and Mary Karr of Madera, Calif., and Gerri Tabler of Filer, Idaho, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews around the country.
