Karl Arthur Kreutzer III
Karl Arthur Kreutzer, III, 52, of Mountain Home, died Nov. 21, 2008.
A memorial service will take place at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 28. Military honors will be provided by the Mountain Home AFB honor guard. Following the service, a time of fellowship will be held at the First Southern Baptist Church. Condolences may be sent to the family in care of Rost Funeral Home.
Karl was born in Duquesne, Pa., on Aug. 4, 1956, to Margaret and Karl A. Kreutzer, Jr. He grew up in the Pittsburgh area. Karl graduated from General Braddock Area High School in 1975. He then attended Connelley Skill-Learning Center, earning a machinist apprenticeship in 1977.
Karl began service in the U.S. Air Force in October of 1977 as an aircraft weapons specialist.
Karl met the love of his life, Yolanda in 1983 while she was also serving in the U.S. Air Force. Karl then continued service to his country as an engineer's assistant at Mountain Home Air Force Base until retiring in 1997.
Karl and Yolanda had 25 years of marriage. During those years together they had three children, a son, Hansel, a son, Peter, and a daughter, Kristen.
Karl enjoyed weightlifting and the outdoors.
"Karl's passion was his children. He will be greatly missed by everyone he touched," his family said.
Karl is survived by: his wife, Yolanda; son Hansel and his wife, Jennifer Kreutzer; his son, Peter; his daughter, Kristen, and his sister, Janice, and her husband, Jeff Fundis.
Karl was preceded in death by his parents Karl and Margaret Kreutzer.
