Wally Pedrazzini
Wallace "Wally" James Pedrazzini, 82, of Mountain Home, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at his home.
No services are planned.
He was born in Payette, Idaho, and spent his childhood in Petaluma, Calif., until in 1943, at the age of 17, he enlisted in the Navy. He ended his 20 years of service as a Chief Petty Officer (SKC USA, Ret.).
In 1963, Wally was stationed in Las Vegas, Nev., at the Lake Mead Base. While stationed there, he met, fell in love with and married Nona B. Krohne on Oct. 18, 1966.
After retiring from the Navy, Wally was employed by EG&G and EG&G Special Projects.
He also owned and operated two small businesses.
"He was a hardworking man always taking care to provide for his family. He taught his children the importance of hard work, honesty, and integrity," his family said.
"Wally had so many life experiences and always had such great stories to share," his family added. "He loved to fish, enjoyed camping, scuba diving, listening to Pavarotti and shared many great vacations with his wife and children. He liked his sports cars, motorcycles and boats.
"We will miss our husband, best friend, companion, confidante, dad, papa, role model, big brother, fishing buddy, 'cut up,' and all around good guy. We take great comfort in knowing that you are in the arms of your loving Father," his family said.
Wally is survived by: his wife, Nona; his four children, Ralph Krohne and his wife, Lisa, of Shelton, Conn., Sandy Nelson and her husband, Randy, of Las Vegas, Steve Pedrazzini and his wife, Susan of Sequim, Wash., and Mattie; 11 grandchildren; two siblings, his brother, Bob Pedrazzini, and his wife, Pam, of California, and his sister, Joan Clement, of California.
