Debra "Debbie" Lynn Keas, 53, of Mountain Home, died Aug. 22, 2008, at her home.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at the First Congregational Church. A private family inurnment will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.
Debbie was the fourth child to be born at the new Daniel Freeman Hospital in Inglewood, Calif. She was raised in Torrance, Calif., and graduated from North High School in 1972. Debbie attended Whitter College for one year.
She was a member and Past Worthy Advisor of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls (IOORG) Lawndale Assembly. She was a 35-year member of Order of Eastern Star, Fuchsia and Miriam Chapters, also a member of the Iras Temple #40, Daughters of the Nile.
Debbie married Mike Keas on Dec. 27, 1975, in Redondo Beach, Calif. They resided in the South Bay area of California until moving to Idaho in 1994. While living in California, Debbie worked in various fields of the banking industry.
Debbie enjoyed the art of cooking. She kept busy with various handicrafts including sewing, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint and scrapbooking. Debbie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Debbie is survived by: her husband, Mike Keas, of Mountain Home; her son, Jason, and his wife, Barbara Keas, of Mountain Home; her brother, Mike Coon, of Las Vegas, Nev., one granddaughter and several aunts, uncles and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Suzanne Keas, and both her parents, Dona and Theodore Coon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Debbie's honor to the El Korah Travel Fund, 1118 W. Idaho Street, Boise, ID 83701. The El Korah Travel Fund helps provided assistance to patients and their families to the Shrine Hospitals.
