Sharon Meredith

Sharon Lee Mason Meredith, 65, of Mountain Home, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at a local care center.

Funeral Services were held on Friday, Aug. 22, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Burial will follow in Needles Riverview Cemetery in Needles, Calif. She will be buried near her parents. Arrangements were under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Sharon was born, raised and educated in Needles, Calif. She was the middle daughter in a family of three girls born to Charles and Leona Mason.

She met and married Robert Meredith and together they had one son, Russell. Robert's job moved them to Mountain Home and it was in Mountain Home that she stayed for the remainder of her life.

She worked at a local bank, Micron, and the last few years she was employed at Farm Bureau Insurance Company.

"Sharon loved being a mom and homemaker," her family said. "One of her greatest compensations for growing older was the opportunity to be a grandmother, she had two grandsons. They were the delight of her life these last few years."

Sharon is survived by: her son, Russell Meredith, of Mountain Home; her sister, Denise Whitlow, of Boise, and two grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
