Bob Collins
Robert "Bob" Leon Collins, 66, of Glenns Ferry, died Saturday, July 19, 2008, at his daughter's home in Boise.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 24, at 2 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Glenns Ferry. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Bob was born into a military family on April 29, 1942, the son of Robert and Fern Collins. Bob lived with his family in many parts of the United States and in Germany.
On June 15, 1969, Bob married "the love of his life," Jenene Dee Burgoyne. Together they had "their pride and joy," Kimberly Marie Collins.
In 1974, the family moved to Glenns Ferry where they were members of the community for 34 years.
Bob was a farm mechanic for Sailor Creek Farm Development for 20 plus years.
Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman. "Bob found much joy in many outdoor activities, especially when including friends and family," his family said. "Bob loved life and lived it to the fullest. His friendships were lasting and true. He's been a supportive and loving father and husband. It's our honor to call him family."
Bob is survived by: his daughter, Kimberly, of Boise; two granddaughters; his brother, Tommy Collins of Paul; his sisters, Theresa Armento of Pennsylvania, Terri Williams of Twin Falls, Phyllis Marinelarane of California and Debbie of Washington.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, his brother, Calvin, and his wife Jenene, who died in September 2007.
