Darlene Morton
Darlene A. (Brown) Morton, of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Mountain Home, died June 21, 2008.
A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, July 2, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Mountain Home with services following at Mountain View Cemetery. A luncheon at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 965 McKenna Ave. (across from the swimming pool) will immediately follow services.
Darlene was born Dec. 31, 1954, to Norman F. and Elsie C. Brown in Mountain Home, at Dr. Couch's office behind the old Ford Garage. She was one of the first babies baptized at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1973.
She married Ralph Heath of King Hill and had two boys, Anthony and Dustin Heath.
Darlene worked for many years as a waitress in Mountain Home, working at the El Rancho, Gear Jammer, and JB's before moving to Arizona.
In Phoenix Darlene became a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines fulfilling her love of travel. That is where she met husband, Tim Morton.
Darlene's many interests included not only traveling, but hunting, fishing, and horses.
She is survived by: her mother, Elsie C. Brown; her two sons, Anthony Heath and Dustin Heath; her husband, Tim Morton; her brother, Norman Brown; her sister, Marie Dominick, and her nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Norman F. Brown.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that those wishing to remember Darlene donate to their favorite charity in her name.
