Charlotte McMahon
Charlotte "Charlie" A. McMahon, 63, of Mountain Home, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at her home, following an 11-year battle with cancer.
A viewing was held on Friday, May 23, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Funeral Services were held Saturday, May 24, at Rost Funeral Home. Burial followed at Glenn Rest Cemetery in Glenns Ferry.
Charlie was born to Lester and Mildred Heath on May 12, 1945, in Mountain Home, in a maternity home prior to the building of Mountain Home hospital. She was raised in King Hill and schooled in Glenns Ferry. She grew up on the Henderson Ranch (now known as the 101 Ranch).
After her schooling she moved to Mountain Home.
Charlie married Richard McMahon, Jr., on May 5, 1971, in Mountain Home.
"She loved to ride her horses, go camping, hunting, fishing and being in the outdoors," her family said. "Her special love was for her grandchildren."
Charlie is survived by: her husband, Richard, of Mountain Home; her daughter, Pam, and her husband, Sam Balander, of Auburn, Wash.; her daughter, Carla, and her husband, J.R. Workman, of Mountain Home; her son, John, and his wife, Tina McMahon, of Mountain Home; her brothers, Jerry Heath, Larry Heath and her sisters Lynn Aug (all of Glenns Ferry), and Lela Morrison of Mountain Home; her mother, Mildred Heath, of Glenns Ferry, and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Harvey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Charlie's memory to the Three Island Senior Center, 502 E. Cleveland, Glenns Ferry, ID 83623.
