Maxine Van Tassel
Maxine M. Van Tassel, 75, of Mountain Home, died Thursday, April 17, 2008, at a Boise care center.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, April 22, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Maxine was born on Feb. 18, 1933, in Campbell, Minn., the daughter of Edward and Blanche Rossow. She was raised and schooled in Minnesota. The family later moved to Illinois.
"She will be deeply missed by her loving family and a great many friends in Mountain Home, and in Breckenridge, Minn., where she lived for many years," her family said.
Maxine is survived by: her daughter, Diana, and her husband, Tom Thompson, of Puyallup, Wash.; her son, James (Sam), and his wife, Becky Bass, of Horace, N.D.; her daughter, Vania Kouski of Wahepeton, N.D.; her daughter Dawn "Susie" Bulgin of Mountain Home; her sister, Darlene Knight, of Moline, Ill.; her sister-in-law, Cleo Rossow, of Mountain Home; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Both her parents and her brothers Bud Rossow, Rodney Rossow, sister Evangeline Rowe and one nephew preceded her in death.
