Bike safety rodeo slated

Jalen Gibbons will organize a free Bike Safety Fair at North Elementary on May 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. as part of his Eagle Scout community project.

The fair is for children in Mountain Home from kindergarten to fourth grade, and their families.

The fair will consist of several stations, including a bike safety workshop/rodeo put on by the Mountain Home Police Department, a bike helmet giveaway (quantities are limited), basic bike maintenance lessons (not free tune-ups), helmet checks, bike registration, and a child safety kit station.

Participating children can earn a cookie and some time in a bounce house by participating in the stations.
