Patte Condon
Patricia "Patte" L. Condon, 59, of Mountain Home, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at her home, following an illness.
At her request, no services are planned at this time.
Patte was born in Kingston, N.Y. She lived in Florida and retired in Idaho.
Patte was known to the Mountain Home graduating class of 2000 for her compassion and kindness as a mentor, her family said. "Through her son, she befriended and guarded over a dozen teenagers who may have had problems, may have needed a friend or just a person/adult to listen to them," they said. "She was well known to local law enforcement as a 'safe house/security provider."
"Beyond the multitude of teenagers, she was a sister to many people who found her sarcasm, tough love and true compassion comforting. She will always be in our hearts and minds. Her last conversation and moments were spent with loved ones. Her life example is a reminder for us to be strong and brave."
Patte is survived by: her son, Spc. Justin Condon and his wife, Leia; her brothers, John and Joe Condon, both of Florida; and her sisters, Barbara Walsh of Florida and Cheryl Marsala of Mountain Home.
She was preceded in death by both her parents and one brother.
