Mountain Home Youth Soccer Coach Charles Kistler's U12 Boys (coed) team almost let its first victory get away from them on Saturday.

United led 4-0 at the half on scores by Christa Lewis, Jacob Lucas and two from Shaun Holland.

Weiser battled back and tied the game with four minutes remaining in the match. Isaiah Carlisle met the challenge and put Mountain Home in front with less than two minutes left to secure the team's first win.

Another MHYSA team found itself in an evenly matched contest as the U13 Boys battled to a 4-4 tie with Idaho Rush-Swoosh.

AJ Daniels found the back of the net twice with assists from Brenden O'Neill and Jacob Hedrick.

Rush rallied for two points to even the score at the halfway mark.

Tyler Rios and Ricardo Araujo rounded out the scoring for the Tigers in the seesaw second-half battle as goalie Jack Richelieu was credited with 14 saves on the day to keep the teams knotted in the tie.

The U11 Glenn's Ferry Girls game also ended in a tie as they battled Kuna to a 2-2 deadlock.

Anna Orr and Melissa Garza provided the offensive scoring power for the Co-Pilots. "Roni Crone and Sam Tveidt did a great job in defense," Coach Patty Villavicencio said. "Our girls had an awesome game."

Coach Rob Daniels' U14 Boys were missing several key players because of spring break and traveled to Weiser fielding only 11 players. "We played tough despite having no substitute players for relief," Coach Daniels said.

Michael Daniels scored the lone point in the 5 -1 loss.

The U17 Girls won their contest against Meridian PAL but individual game statistics were not available at press time.
