Alan Heffron
Alan Heffron, 69, formerly of Grand View, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at a Boise hospital.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Bruneau American Legion Hall at 11 a.m.. An Irish Wake will follow at CJ's Landing in Grand View. Cremation is under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Alan was born on Aug. 18, 1938, in Syracuse, N.Y., the son of Robert and Gladys Heffron. He was raised and schooled in New York and then in New Mexico.
Alan joined the Navy as a radioman and later worked for Motorola.
Alan moved to the Grand View area in 1978 and worked in the area as an electrician. He retired from Agri Lines Irrigation in Grand View.
He was member the Bruneau American Legion Post #83.
Alan enjoyed hunting, airplanes and being in the outdoors. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Alan is survived by: his son, John, and his wife, Cyndi Heffron; his daughter, Sally, and her husband, Ron Holister; his son, Joe, and his wife, Beth Heffron; his father, Robert Heffron; his sisters, Bobbie, Joyce, Cathy, Shirley and Carol, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, one brother and one son.
