Gasp! Horn backs editor

Dear editor:

In response to a comment submitted by Ms. Rosemary Hopkins in last week's paper ("Snide remarks inappropriate") concerning your previous week's "Notebook" article, I offer the following: "Rosie -- get a life!"

I don't often defend a "liberal minded" newspaper editor but in this case I felt Mr. Everitt's article was just what was needed in this chaotic period of political madness when everyone seems to have to voice an opinion: a very good commentary and analysis interspersed with a dry sense of humor.

Speaking for myself, I really enjoy a good laugh along with factual information and the "Notebook" in question provided both.

So, thank you Kelly for one of your better dissertations. Good humor periodically interjected does in fact take the bite out of "political correctness."
