David Collins
David Clifton Collins, 52, of Boise, formerly of Mountain Home, died Jan. 5, 2008, at his home.
A viewing will be held from noon until the 2 p.m. funeral service on Thursday, Jan. 10, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, 500 N. 18th East St. in Mountain Home. Repass will follow at the Odd Fellow Hall, 155 N. 3rd East St. from 2:30-5 p.m.
David was born May 27, 1955, in Fernwood, Miss., the son of Elmo J. and Addean (Garner) Collins. He was a certified arborist and had over 30 years of service with the Boise City Community Forestry Department.
David is survived by: his mother, Addean Collins of Mountain Home; his sisters, Linda G. and her husband, Eddie Figueroa, of Maryland, Rogena M. Brown of Mountain Home, and Sharon K. and her husband, Kim Raines, of Virginia; and 19 nieces and nephews ,all of whom, his family said, "he loved dearly and for those that lived near, David was very active in their care and upbringing."
He was preceded in death by his father, Elmo J. Collins, and his two brothers, Larry D. and Joseph E. Collins.
