Timothy Niedling
Timothy Edward Niedling, 72 of Mountain Home, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, at the Idaho State Veterans Home in Boise.
Memorial Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Timothy was born on July 22, 1935, in Hillman, Mich., to Carl and Emily Niedling. He was the youngest of six children. He graduated from Hillman High School in 1953.
Timothy joined the US Air Force in Detroit, Mich., in 1954 and took his training at Samson Air Force Base in Newark. During his military career he was stationed at many bases including Parks Air Force Base, Fairchild Air Force Base, Westover Air Force Base in Germany, Thule Greenland for one year, Selfridge Air Force Base, Wiesbaden, Germany and Reinstein, Germany. He transferred to Mountain Home Air Force Base in April of 1967 where he met his wife, Rose. He was transferred to Denver Air Force Base where he retired in October 1973.
He married Myrna Allan in 1959 and they divorced in 1968. Together they had one son.
He married Rose Kite on Nov. 28, 1968.
Timothy loved to take trips to Jackpot, Nev.
Timothy is survived by: his wife, Rose; one son, Tim II. and his wife, Rocelle, of Ann Arbor, Mich.; stepson D.R. Kite of Mountain Home; two stepdaughters, Vida Wiemer and Charlotte McKibbon of Mountain Home; one brother, Bruce, and his wife, Dorothy Niedling, of Tennessee, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters.
