Grace Tingstrom
Grace was born on Oct. 23, 1938, in Chico, Butte County, Calif., to George and Laura Partridge. She lived on small farms around California until 1952 when the family moved to Carson City, Nev. Grace finished high school in Carson City and went to Healds Business College in Sacramento, Calif., where she got a job exercising racehorses, She moved back to Carson City and worked as a secretary for the State of Nevada DMV.
Grace married LeRoy Tingstrom on Nov. 1, 1958, and together they had two children. They moved to Idaho in January 1960 and she worked at several different ranches. In 1967 they moved back to Carson City and Grace worked all the time in town. In 1970 they moved back to Three Creek and then moved to King Hill in 1983.
"Grace's greatest loves were her family and horses," her family said, noting that "she also loved cows and all other kinds of animals. She enjoyed horse shows, hunting, fishing, camping and just being in the wide open outdoors."
Grace is survived by: her husband, LeRoy Tingstrom of King Hill; her son, Andy, and his wife, Lori Tingstrom, of Florida; his daughter, Ellen Tingstrom of Sand Hollow; her sister, Ruth Partridge of Carson City, and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by both her parents.
Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.
