Kevin Wilson, 26
Kevin Kristopher Wilson, 26, of Mountain Home, died on Friday, October 5, 2007.
A memorial service was held at the Chapel on Mountain Home Air Force Base on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Kevin was born on Oct. 31, 1980, in Winchester, Va., to Joseph and Linda Wilson. He graduated from The Miller School of Albemarle in Albemarle, Va., in 1998 and then attended Embrey-Riddle Aeronautical University and Piedmont Virginia Community College before receiving a BA in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia in 2003.
Kevin married Brie on Nov. 29, 2003, in Pensacola, Fla., and then joined the Air Force Reserves in 2006 and served as a Crew Chief working with C-17 aircraft, 446 AMXS, with the rank of Senior Airman.
Kevin loved working with cars and had a great skill as a mechanic, his family said, adding that he loved sports and the outdoors and enjoyed traveling.
Kevin is survived by: his wife, Capt. Brie Wilson of Mountain Home; his parents, Joe and Linda Wilson of Tazewell, Va.; his sister, Kerry, and her husband, Jeff Mueller, of Winchester, Va.; his grandmothers, Ada Whittaker and Eula Wilson ,and grandfather Ernest Whittaker, all of Tazewell, Va., and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and other relatives.
His grandfather, Pearl Wilson, preceded him in death.
