Richard Hoagland, 88
Richard H. Hoagland, 88, died Aug. 29, 2007, at the hospital in Mountain Home.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Glenns Ferry. Burial followed at Glenn Rest Cemetery in Glenns Ferry. Arrangements were under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Hoagland was born May 5, 1919, in American Falls, Idaho.
"Richard lived a full and varied life, his family said, "raising a family and working at the various occupations of mining, farming, railroading and heavy construction." He worked in several western states, as well as Alaska, Vietnam and Columbia, South America.
Upon retirement Richard moved back to Hammett with his wife, Wilma.
He is survived by: his wife. Wilma; daughter Vicki Kahler; his son, Verlyn, and his wife, Myrle Hoagland; his son, Ronald Hoagland; his sister, Bervia Lawrensen; eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Matilda and Sarah, a brother, Jack, and three grandsons.
