Nicole Sims of Mountain Home has announced the birth of a boy, Layne Keith James Pickering, on Feb. 21, 2006, at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Boise. He weighed 8 lbs., 15 oz. and was 21.25 inches long.

He joins an older brother, Tyler M.G. Pickering.

Grandparents are Jackie and Mike Sims of Mountain Home.
