Michael Rodrigues, 21
Michael Edward Rodrigues, 21, of Mountain Home, died on Tuesday, May 8, 2007, in an automobile accident along with his sister, niece and nephew near Mountain Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, at the Mountain Home Idaho Stake Center, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.
Michael was born on May 2, 1986, at Hill Air Force Base in Layton, Utah, to George and JaQuita Rodrigues. He attended Mountain Home schools and finished his education in Twin Falls.
He earned his CNA Certificate from the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls and initially worked at Mountain View Care Center in Twin Falls. He was currently employed at the Elmore County Nursing Home.
He loved cooking, dragons, and making jewelry for himself and others. He had just celebrated his 21st birthday in Las Vegas with friends.
"We are going to miss Michael and the innumerable little things he did to take care us all," his family said.
Michael is survived by: his father, George Rodrigues, Sr., of Mountain Home; his sister, Margrite Lancaster of Tooele, Utah; his brother, George Rodrigues, Jr., of Mountain Home; his brother, David Rodrigues of Mountain Home; his sister, Danielle Sherman of Meridian; his sister, Candi McBroom of Fort Hood, Texas; his sister, Heidi Smith of Mountain Home; his sister, Amber Schweikert of Mountain Home; his brother, Anthony Rodrigues of Mountain Home; grandparents Billy Joe and Viva Mae Wright of California, his grandmother, Mary Rodrigues of California, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother JaQuita Rodrigues, and his grandfather, Joseph Rodrigues.
In lieu of flowers a Memorial Fund has been set up at Idaho Independent Bank -- Rodrigues/Woodruff Memorial Fund, 310 American Legion Blvd, Mountain Home, ID 83647.
