Jesse Huffman, 89

Jesse Lee Huffman, 89, died April 12, 2007, with his children by his side.

A viewing followed by funeral services were held Monday, April 16, at the LDS Stake Center in Mountain Home. Internment followed at the Mountain View Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

He was born June 1, 1917 in Boise, and raised in the Boise Valley. He married Joy Nell Baker on Dec. 26, 1944, and was sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on July 10, 1952. They had nine children and helped 22 foster children.

"Jesse was a hard worker and served faithfully throughout his life,

his family noted.

Jesse and Joy served an LDS mission in Mexico and were Boise Temple workers.

Jesse is survived by: his eight children, Kenneth and his wife, Laurieanne Huffman, Joy K'Linn Huffman, Mark and his wife, Carol Huffman, Mari and her husband, Dave Burgess, Marion Huffman, Katharine and her husband, Stewart Cram, Bessie and her husband, Keith Fletcher, and Helen and her husband, Mike Gonzales; 47 grandchildren and 84 great-grandchildren.

His wife, ten siblings, one son, and three grandchildren precede him in death.
