Born May 17, 1949, in Mountain Home, to Doris Kessell, she married Mike Ferrell of Mountain Home in 1980. They made their home here.
Her home "was always open to friends and family to come by and visit or have some of her great cooking," her family said. "Brenda and Mike shared of a love of the simple life, watching movies in their home together or with friends and family."
Home-cooked meals were always a staple in the Ferrell home, her family said, and "there was never a shortage of visitors dropping in to say 'hi' or those who she considered 'family' checking in or her while Mike was out on the road as a long-haul truck driver."
She also loved life out on the farm, her family noted, where they lived for many years before moving back into town. On the farm she raised her children and many farm animals, all of which had names. Her favorite animals, her family said, were probably her dogs. "Wherever she sat, there was always one or two dogs right at her feet," her family said. "She will be missed by many."
