Lyn Mikach, 74
Marilyn "Lyn" Karen Mikach, 74 of Mountain Home, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at a local care center.
At her request, no services are planned. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Lyn was born on July 1, 1932, in Stockton, Calif., the daughter of Chelsey and Harriet Cox. She was raised in Riverbank and attended high school in Oakdale, Calif..
Being in a military family, Lyn lived in many places, including Alaska, Japan and Iran.
Lyn married John Mikach in July of 1983 in Minden, Nev. They lived in Modesto, Calif., before relocating to Mountain Home in 1992. They loved Mountain Home and the closeness of the community and made many friends here.
Lyn was a homemaker and fabulous cook. She loved to bake cookies and cakes for her friends. She also was an avid reader. Lyn took pride in her appearance and will be remembered for her beautiful smile and kindness to everyone, her family said.
Lyn is survived by: her mother, Harriet Cox of Nevada; her sister, Margie Hofmann of Nevada; her daughters, Sherry Mateo of California, Joi and her husband, Dennis Meadows, of Washington, Toni and her husband, Robert Camp, of Washington, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Chelsey Cox, her husband, John, and her sister, Sylvia.
