Robin Golay, 48
Robin E. Golay, 48, of Twin Falls, formerly of Mountain Home, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007, at St. Luke's Magic Valley Hospital following a seven-year battle with cancer.
At Robin's request no services are planned. Cremation is under the direction of White Mortuary, "Chapel by the Park."
He was born Dec. 22, 1958, in Boise, the son of Gary and Naomi Muse Golay. He attended schools in Twin Falls until his junior year when he moved to Mountain Home where he graduated in 1976. He later attended the College of Southern Idaho for two years.
Robin started Golay Retriever Kennels 25 years ago where he raised pure-bred labradors and began training dogs for hunting and later for K-9 units with various police departments.
In 2000 he started Golay Pet Foods and operated it until illness forced him to quit. Robin often rode with K-9 units with the police departments, was a member of Ducks Unlimited, was an avid hunter and fisherman, but the thing he took most pleasure in was flying.
Robin is survived by: his father: Gary Golay of Eagle River, Ark.; his mother and step-father, Naomi and Doyle Hansen of Eagle River, Ark.;two sisters, Rosemarie Griffiths of Bakersfield, Calif., and Tina Kelsey of Eagle River, Ark., and his grandmother, Virginia Muse of Twin Falls.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Debra.
