Sandy Wynn VanBerckelaer, 52

Sandy Wynn VanBerckelaer, 51, of Mountain Home, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, with her loved ones surrounding her.

Services will be held at a later time. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Sandy was born on March 6, 1955, in Fairfield, Calif.

Sandy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially babysitting nieces and nephews, her family said, adding that "she loved Indian art and made beautiful dream catchers." She also enjoyed crafts, including crocheting.

"She was such a special person, a devoted Christian and we should always remember the happiness Sandy brought into our lives," her family said.

Sandy is survived by: her father and mother, Elmer and Maxine Allen of Mountain Home; sisters Linda Halliday of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Debbie and her husband, Ron Thornhill, of Mountain Home; her brother, Mark, and his wife, Barbara Steele, of Mountain Home, and her aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Franks.
