Carolyn S. Marshall, 87
Long time Mountain Home resident Carolyn S. Marshall, 87, widow of Claude Marshall, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, at a local care center.
At Carolyn's request, there will be no services. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Carolyn was born in Hope, N.D., on Aug. 12, 1909 to Grace and Leo Smith. She had four sisters and one brother.
She attended the University of North Dakota in Fargo and later moved to San Diego, Calif., where she met and married Claude.
Carolyn and Claude lived at Anderson Ranch Dam during the 1950s and 1960s where he served as superintendent of the dam operations. They decided to return to Mountain Home upon Claude's retirement in the 1970s, where they lived until their deaths.
"She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was truly a grand lady," her family said.
Claude and Carolyn had no children. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude, four sisters and one brother.
