Gary Mickelson, 70
Gary A. Mickelson, 70, of Boise, formerly of Mountain Home, died at a Boise hospital Dec. 8, 2006.
A private service to celebrate his life will be held in Boise by his family.
Gary was born to William Earl and Alvaretta (Anderson) Mickelson on Jan. 27,1936, in Logan Utah.
Gary attended Logan schools and graduated from Tom Logan High with the class of 1954.
He married Patricia Baum Jan. 15, 1955, in Logan.
Throughout his life he had many different jobs. Road construction, carwash manager, service station owner, and car salesman. Of these jobs and others, his most rewarding time was working with his father, Earl, in road construction in the Southern Utah areas, his family said.
After their marriage he and Patricia lived in Logan, Utah, Wendover, Nev., Ogden Utah, and Mountain Home.
They raised a family of four children.
"He, and especially his sense of humor, will be missed deeply by all," his family said.
Gary is survived by: his children, Julie Haught and husband Rick of Boise, Gary Alan Mickelson and wife Karen of Pocatello, Leslie (Boston) Hawley of Boise, Stacie Lee Watson and husband Ricky of Great Falls, Mont., nine grand children, and three great-grandchildren; his sisters LaFaye Reeder and husband Martin of Logan, Utah, Marlene Lindley and husband Lynn of Hyrum, Utah, his brother Dwight Mickelson and wife Ruth of Vacaville Calif., and several nieces and nephews.
Gary was preceded in death by his wife Patricia, brother Leon, father Earl, mother Alveretta, son-in-law Wade Boston, and nephew Brett Lindley.
