Art Buszka, 76
Arthur "Art" J. Buszka, 76, of Mountain Home, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006, at a local care center.
Funeral services will be held at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel on Thursday, Nov. 30, at 11 a.m. A viewing will be held that morning, from 9:30 a.m. until the service starts. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Art was raised in Buffalo, N.Y.
He joined the Army Air Force at an early age. When stationed in England, he met and married Elizabeth Jones of Liverpool in 1950. Over the years his military career took him and his family many places across the United States, including Alaska.
In 1968, he retired with his family in Mountain Home.
Art later returned to Buffalo, N.Y., where he remarried.
In 1998, he returned to Mountain Home, due to an illness, where he could be near his children.
"He loved his family, the great outdoors, dancing and playing cards with friends and family," his family said. "He also loved his church and in the early 1960s helped restore the original St. James Episcopal Church."
Art is survived by: his daughter, Cheryl, and her husband, Thomas Waters of Mountain Home; his daughter, Stephanie, and her husband, Russel Stewart of Boise; his son, Michael, and his wife, Julie Buszka of Blackfoot, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Francis, his ex-wife, Elizabeth, both his parents, a daughter, two brothers and three sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Art's honor can be made to a charity of choice.
