Blanche Rogers, 85
Blanche Laverine Rogers, 85, of Mountain Home, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006.
A memorial service was held Monday, Oct. 2, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Blanche was born May 22, 1921, in Harrisburg, Mo., the daughter of William and Kate Guillum.
On Aug. 16, 1971, Blanche married James "Jim" W. Rogers in Elko, Nev. They lived in Boise, where she worked at Dorsey Cleaners until they moved to Mountain Home. They were married for 35 years.
Blanche started a ceramic business in 1970 and she taught ceramics for many years. She also delivered paints, supplies, and ceramics all over the Treasure Valley and Magic Valley.
She loved to bake and was a great cook, she also loved to crochet, her family noted.
Blanche is survived by: her husband, Jim Rogers of Mountain Home; her sons, Nathan and his wife, Paulette Douglas, of Notus, Steven Ash of Nampa, Jim and his wife, Debbie Rogers, of Sandhollow; her two sisters, Louis Gardner and Nadene Holmes, both of Missouri; ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, one daughter in-law, one brother and two sisters.
Arrangements were under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.
