Donald Eichelberger, 76
Donald E. Eichelberger, 76, of Whiting, Kan., formerly of Mountain Home, died Thursday, July 20, 2006, at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
Donald was born Jan. 5, 1930, in Morrill, Kan., the son of Fred and Lottie Kendall Eichelberger. He graduated from Morrill High School in 1948.
Donald was a farmer and stockman. He also worked for Rockwell International in Atchison, Kan., for 16 years and Anderson Construction in Holton, Kan., for six years.
He was a former member and elder of the First Christian Church in Robinson and attended the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Horton. He was a member of Polar Star Lodge No. 130 AF&AM of Whiting for over fifty years.
Donald married Patricia Jacobia Oct. 6, 1950. She died Aug. 11, 1979. He married Josephine Gates, May 28, 1991 in Miami, Okla., She survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, Martin Eichelberger of Atchison, Robert Eicbelberger of Fulton, Mo., and Dennis Eichelberger of Kansas City, Kan.; one daughter, Doma Harvey of Wichita, Kan.; five step-sons, Robert Raye and Russell Raye, both of Whiting, Victor Raye of Kansas City, Wyatte Raye, in Tennessee, and Jonathan Raye, in Nebraska; two stepdaughters, Serena Sanders of Mountain Home, and Libby Ross of Atchison; 11 grandchildren, numerous step-grandchildren and five great-granchildren,
He was preceded in death by one son, David Eichelberger, who died in 1975.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 25, at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton, Kan. Burial followed in the Spring Hill Cemetery at Whiting.
