Ethel Borders, 84

Ethel G. Borders, 84 of Mountain Home, died June 27, 2006.

A viewing was held on Friday, June 30, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Funeral Services followed. Burial was on Monday, July 3, in Baker Cemetery, Baker, La., next to her husband. Arrangements were under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Ethel was born on Feb. 14, 1922, in Flint, Mich., the daughter of Eber W. and Violet Retherford.

She married Frank Borders on Nov. 27, 1959, and they lived in Louisiana for 23 years.

Ethel then moved and resided in Mountain Home for the last seven years.

She is survived by: her son, Dwayne, and his wife, Darlene Borders of Mountain Home, and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Borders, and a daughter, Joyce Dove.
