Jean Barton, 91

Jean Barton, 91, of Mountain Home, died Thursday, May 18, 2006, at a local hospital.

Funeral services were held on Monday, May 22, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, with burial at Mountain View Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Jean was born Sept. 10, 1914, in Sweetwater, Texas, the daughter of Ivan George and Minnie Kelley. She moved to Van Nuys, Calif., as a teenager, where she met and married Wilford "Bill" Barton on June 26, 1937. They moved to Mountain Home in 1950, and remained here until their deaths.

She was owner/operator of Geno's Pizza for several years in the '60s.

Jean is survived by: her three children, Billy and his wife, Nancy Barton, of Arizona, Jack and his wife, Anita Barton, of Texas, and Joan and her husband, Dewey Oglesbee, of Utah; a sister, Frances; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and five great-great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford, both parents, several sisters and all her brothers.
