Dave McGrath, 54

David (Dave) Gale McGrath, 54, of Mountain Home, died of cancer on March 21, 2006, in his home, surrounded by his family.

Services were held at Faith Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 25. Arrangements were under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.

The son of John and Lorine McGrath, he was born in Karnes City, Texas on April 4, 1951.

He graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1969, before attending and graduating from the University of Idaho with a degree in chemistry in 1973.

He worked with an Engineering firm in Alaska, then with Northrop in California as a senior buyer before returning to Idaho where he was with Newton Manufacturing Company for over 20 years.

Dave enjoyed the outdoors, loved the mountains and fishing.

He is survived by: his mother, Lorine McGrath of Mountain Home; his brother Loren and sister in-law Linda of Greenville, S.C., a nephew, a niece, and his dog, Ruff.

He was preceded in death by his father John.
