Mark Boesl, 65
Mark O. Boesl, 65, of Mountain Home, died March 15, 2006, at a local hospital, after a long battle with lung cancer.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 21, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Mark was born in Langdon, N.D., on Feb. 24, 1941, the son of Peter and Helen (Schulet) Boesl. He was raised in Mount Carmel, N.D.
After graduating from Mount Carmel High School in 1959, he served in the Army and Air Force for 24 years.
While traveling the world, he met and married Christine Gell in Rushden, England, in 1972. Their daughter, Ellen, was born in 1973, in London. The family moved to Mountain Home in 1974, and they had their daughter, Stacey, in 1976.
In the 32 years he spent in Mountain Home, he was surrounded by friends and people who loved him, his family said.
His hobbies included darts, family board games, flying remote control planes, cards and spending time on his computer.
He is survived by: his wife, Christine Boesl of Mountain Home; three daughters, Stacey and her husband, Heath Schilz, of Mountain Home; Ellen and her husband, Greg Panter, and Diane and her husband, Sal Heckman, both of Seattle; two brothers, Elmer Boesl and Emeric, both of North Dakota; three sisters, Marie Hays of Oklahoma, Leona Howatt of North Dakota, and Millie Jasken of Minnesota, along with four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both his parents and four brothers.
