Marsa Grimmett has announced her intention to run for the office of Elmore County Clerk/Auditor/Recorder, which is being vacating by Gail Best, who is retiring this year.
Grimmett will run on the Republican ticket.

McLaughlin, Judge John R. Sellman (for 13 years) and currently is the clerk for Judge Aaron Bazzoli.

"I have decided to run for the county clerk position because I am ready for a new challenge in my work career and would enjoy working with the same people I have worked with for over 19 years," she said.
"I believe that with my experience in the court and the education I have recently obtained that I could do an excellent job if elected to this position."
A lifelong Idaho resident, Grimmett was born and raised in Blackfoot where her parents operated a farming business.
She graduated as valedictorian from Blackfoot High School in 1979.
She has been married to Mike Grimmett for 26 years and has three children and one grandchild.
