LaDette Hoalst, 67
LaDette C. Hoalst, 67, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, at home after a battle with cancer, surrounded by his wife, mother and daughter, Susanne.
He was born June 3, 1938, in Grand View, to Manuel and Maxine Hoalst.
He graduated from Grand View High School and then joined the US Navy in 1958. He was stationed at Coronado, Calif., until 1963.
LaDette did many things after the military, but what he loved most, besides serving his country, was being a professional truck driver for Simplot, his family said. "LaDette will always be remembered with love and respect by all of his friends and family."
His family added that he "was the beloved husband of Nancy for ten years, loving father to Tamara, Corey, Laddie, Suzanne, and Robert. He was also the loving grandfather to 13 beautiful grandchildren." He also is survived by his brother, Lee Hoalst of Boise, and his mother, Maxine Hoalst of Mountain Home.
He was preceded in death by his father and one grandson.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 1, from 5-6 p.m., and funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 2, at 11 a.m. at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.
