Betty Watson, 80
Betty Watson, 80, formerly of Elmore County, died Nov. 28, 2005, in Caldwell.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell.
She was born to Vic and Thelma Edmondson on March 18, 1925, in Los Angeles, Calif. As a young child, the family moved to Twin Falls, Idaho, where she attended school and graduated in 1943.
She attended the College of Idaho (Albertson College) and Idaho State University, from which she graduated in 1963 with a BA in Education.
She married Cecil C. Watson in September 1947.
They lived in Wendell and then moved to a farm near King Hill, where they resided for 45 years.
She taught school in Jerome, Glenns Ferry and Bliss. After Cecil died she moved to Hagerman and then Boise, where she had resided for the last 10 years. In August, Betty moved to Parma to be with her granddaughter and family.
She loved teaching, board games, crossword puzzles, reading, especially to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing the organ or piano, quilting, flower gardening, camping, watching grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports or going to their concerts, and of course, building and fixing things, her family noted.
She is survived by: her daughters Lindy (Lynn) Davis, Sue (Ron) Buster, and Jane (Randy) Gray; seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and great-grandson Bryce Dockstader.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation, 1821 University Ave. W., Suite S256, St. Paul, MN 55104, or Idaho Humane Society, 4775 Dormand St., Boise, ID 83705.
