Boys soccer beats Fruitland
The Mountain Home Tigers boys soccer team continued their show of improvement on the soccer field last week, downing Fruitland and tying Vallivue.

The Tigers got goals from Marcos Schmitt, Brian Snelgrow and Bryan Walsh. Reza Mesmarian and Aaron Swartz each had assists.
Nick Gula had five saves as goal keeper.
"They played really well tonight," said Mountain Home Tiger boys soccer coach Andrew Kerr.
'They passed the ball around and maintained possession and worked hard as a team."

Vallivue Falcons 0
The Tigers battled the visiting Falcons from Vallivue to a 0-0 tie last Thursday at Eastside Park in Mountain Home.
Nick Gula had 13 saves on goal as goalkeeper for the Tigers.
"That was a very good game tonight. The kids really stepped it up,"s aid Coach Kerr after the match. "Vallivue's a pretty tough team when they have their game going and today we just stepped it up and played as a team and worked really hard.
"We've got some JV kids working in there because of our injuries, and they're starting to play really well together, starting to pass the ball, pick up on defensive measures, although we've got to remind them a few times, but they played really well.
"Nick Gula played excellent goal today for us, so we're doing really well."
The Tigers are 5-6-2 overall, and 1-5-2 in SIC 4A conference play.
The Mountain Home JV battled back to tie Vallivue's JV 3-3 in the preliminary.
