Phyllis Heath, 75
Phyllis (Olaso) Heath, 75, formerly of Mountain Home, died July 23, 2005, at Holy Rosary Medical Center in Ontario., Ore., after suffering a stroke.
A memorial service will be held Sept. 17, at 1 p.m., in Glenns Ferry.
Phyllis was born Sept. 5, 1929, in Boise to Silverio and Laura (Bartlett) Olaso. She spent her youth in several southern Idaho communities, including Glenns Ferry, Mountain Home, Boise, and Blackfoot.
Phylliis married Arthur "Dee" Heath on July 7, 1948. They moved to White Bird where Dee worked for IdaPine Mills for 18 years. In 1967, they moved their family to New Meadows, where Dee worked at Evergreen Forest Products in nearby Tamarack until his retirement in 1989. They spent their retirement Years "RVing" back and forth between Arizona, Idaho, and Oregon. Dee died in 2001.
Phyllis loved her family, birds, gardening, crossword puzzles and reading, her family said.
Phyllis is survived by three daughters, Lee (Sam) Blackwell of King Hill, Deena Heath of Moscow, Carol (Fred) McDonald of Hines, Ore.; two sons, Ron (Rachel) Heath of Winnemucca, Nev., and David (Debbie) Heath of New Meadows; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren (with two more expected this year); and two brothers, Louis Olaso (Nora) and Michael Shaw (Diana) both of Boise.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Dee, her parents, and step-father Raymond Shaw of Mountain Home.
