Garry Harnden, 69
Garry D. Harnden, 69, of Nampa, formerly of Mountain Home, died Friday, June 10, 2005, at a Nampa Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 17, at Elks Lodge BPOE #2276 in Mountain Home.
Garry was born June 26, 1935, in Corral, Idaho, to Delbert and Hattie (Bottcher) Hamden. He was schooled in Fairfield where his two aunts, Mary and Clair Bottcher, raised him.
After graduation from high school he married Louise Collins and together they had two daughters, Kellie and Sheri. They later divorced.
He later married Geraldine Loening.
Garry worked as a log-truck driver for 30 years and helped on the family ranch on the Camas Prairie.
Garry later developed heart problems and was not able to work. He attended school to become a Master Food Preserver.
Garry enjoyed hunting, fishing, jet boating, cooking, canning and making wine.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge BPOE #2276 in Mountain Home.
"Garry was known for being fun loving and generous, and a loving father," his family said. "To all that knew Garry he will be greatly missed."
Garry is survived by: his wife Geraldine "Jeri" of Nampa; daughters Kellie Doty of Missouri and Sheri Meyers of Boise; stepsons Randy and Rick Meyers of Boise; brother Kenneth Hamden of Pendelton, Ore., and Fred Hamden of Heppner, Ore.; sister Loraine Brosnan of Heppner, Ore.; 9 grandchildem, and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by both parents.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home of Mountain Home.
