Ronald Jones, 64
Ronald Wayne Jones, 64, of Mountain Home, died April 6, 2005, at a Boise hospital, surrounded by his family.
Memorial services were held Saturday April 9, at the American Legion Hall in Mountain Home. Military Honors were presented by American Legion Post 26, Mountain Home. Services were under the direction of Rost Funeral Home.
Ron was born June 27, 1940, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Willis and Margaret (Johnson) Jones. Ron was the youngest of three boys.
He joined the United States Navy.
He married Sharon Rolland in 1960, and during his 20 years of service they raised one son and three daughters. Ron retired as a master chief petty officer in 1979.
The family moved to Mountain Home where Ron worked at Mountain Home Air Force Base.
His marriage to Sharon ended and Ron remarried in 1984 to Sandy and he helped raise her two children.
Ron retired again in 2000 as the facilities manager at Mountain Home AFB hospital.
"Ron truly loved the outdoors, he loved to hunt and fish with family and friends at every opportunity. We are all saddened by the early passing of Ron," his family said.
Ron is survived by: his wife, Sandy, of Mountain Home; his son, Bobby and his wife, Angie, of Texas; his three daughters, Cathi, Susie her husband, Stacy, all of Mountain Home, and Maggie of Caldwell; two step-children, Gary Miller and his wife, Michelle, of Meridian, and Tina Miller of Mountain Home, 12 grandchildren, two great-grand children; and one brother, Warren Jones of Florida.
